About the role
The Executive Manager NEBDS (National Epidermolysis Bullosa Dressing Scheme) serves as the strategic leader responsible for the comprehensive governance and operational excellence of Australia's National Epidermolysis Bullosa Dressing Scheme. This pivotal role combines healthcare program management with stakeholder relationship expertise to ensure seamless delivery of critical medical supplies to patients with Epidermolysis Bullosa across the nation.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Advisory Committee Leadership & Product Management - Provide comprehensive secretariat services to the Clinical Advisory Committee, overseeing effective administration and operations while implementing streamlined product application pathways for timely listing and delisting decisions on the NEBDS formulary.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Annual Forum Coordination - Convene and facilitate annual stakeholder meetings bringing together Department representatives, Clinical Advisory Committee members, and relevant organizations to foster collaboration and strategic alignment across the NEBDS ecosystem.
- Comprehensive Reporting & Performance Management - Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the Implementation Advisory Group and Federal Department of Health, ensuring timely submission of all KPI reporting, operational analysis, and reimbursement documentation.
- Education, Marketing & Information Services - Oversee the development and distribution of NEBDS educational resources, marketing collateral, and support materials in accordance with approved Education and Support Plans and Marketing Promotion Plans to maximize program awareness and effectiveness.
- Strategic Team Leadership & Contract Management - Lead and motivate a dynamic team of contractors and staff while organizing quarterly departmental meetings to address operational issues, manage contract requirements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Quality Assurance & Safety Excellence - Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards, participate in quality and ISO audit preparation, and champion continuous improvement practices while maintaining service delivery standards for all internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Health Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
- Current registration (or eligibility) as a Registered Nurse working in a critical dept is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in leading or managing health-related programs within a government or Department of Health context.
- Strong understanding of healthcare policy, funding frameworks, and program governance.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with government stakeholders, funding bodies, and clinical partners.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder programs across both national and state levels

- Network Building & Revenue Growth - Proven ability to develop strategic networks that drive program expansion and generate sustainable revenue streams.
- Advanced Communication & Technical Skills - Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Executive Reporting Experience - Demonstrated experience in preparing and presenting comprehensive reports to management and board-level stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management & Negotiation - Strong track record in managing internal and external relationships, negotiating agreements, and delivering measurable outcomes.
- Independent Leadership & Initiative - High degree of self-direction with ability to work autonomously and take proactive action without supervision.
- Customer Focus & Problem-Solving Excellence - Outstanding customer service orientation combined with exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
