We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Control Systems Electrical Engineer to join our growing team at Control Automation Solutions.

CAS is a busy Industrial Automation Company looking for a highly experienced, driven and enthusiastic person to join their team based in Salisbury, Brisbane.

This is a full time position with immediate start required. Able to travel and work away for short to medium periods when necessary.

As a turnkey operation we have a diverse team of Electrical Engineers, Switchboard Builders, Software Engineers and Industrial Electricians.

Control Automation Solutions (CAS) is a licensed Electrical Contractor and industrial automation specialist that employs industrial electricians and electrical engineers. We are system integrators for Allen Bradley, Siemens, CITECT and many other brands. In particular we have high end expertise with SCADA and Historian packages such as FT View and CITECT.

We are made up of engineers and electricians who have many years of experience in PLC automation projects in many differing industries. Skills and Experience

Control system programming along with troubleshooting experience including PLC & SCADA

Produce technically acceptable standards of work and design deliverables.

Technical document development (project, testing and O&M documentation)

Ensure documentation of appropriate standard is provided to update all relevant Engineering, Operational and Maintenance databases on project completion.

Ability to manage project workloads and when appropriate, engage external service providers to supplement the design requirements.

Ensuring the safety of designs through application of specialist expertise, standards, reviews, risk assessments and risk management.

Establishing and maintaining strong and effective working relationships with other members of the specialist and regional teams both in project delivery and asset management.

Delivering value engineering design packages fit for application purpose.

Equipment failure and root cause analysis.

Ensure project HAZOPs, HAZIDs, Safety management studies and Operability studies are conducted in accordance with Regulatory requirements.

A strong focus on quality, system performance and safety.

Ability to commission works on weekends / after hours and be on call if necessary.

Ability to establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with other members of the specialist and regional teams both in project delivery, asset management and Terminal operations.

Ability to travel for project installation and commissioning throughout Australia.

Capability and flexibility to handle multiple projects in restricted timeframes to support line of business and project goals.

Have a great work ethic and high-level communication and customer relations skills.

Current Construction White Card.

Driver's license (essential).

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master’s degree Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronic Engineering

Hazardous Area equipment design certification

Experience in multidisciplinary engineering projects would be highly regarded.

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Detailed knowledge of Australian & International codes and standards, good engineering practice and the applicable statutory requirements with respect to Electrical systems in hazardous environments and Instrumentation systems.

Experience in design, construction and commissioning of HV, LV and Control equipment and systems.

Excellent general computer literacy skills as well as specialist knowledge of discipline-based applications software.

Skilled in PLC Programming of mainstream PLC systems such as Allen Bradley & Siemens.

Experience in SCADA development of platforms including FactoryTalk, Ignition & CITECT.
