. $190 - 200,000 package + bonus + 4 day week on site.

Mining and the data that underpins and drives effective business decision making and continuous improvement is in your blood. You just get it! You know how all parts of a mining operation tie together and the levers that can be pulled to get the required outcomes. You’re used to working with managers at all levels and ensuring they have the right data at hand to underpin informed decision making.

Experience in Mine Systems and Data analysis and management is essential and it could have been developed in roles around:

• Dispatch

• Fleet Management

• Mine Systems Engineering

• Mine Systems Management

• Mine Control & Improvement

• Mine Systems Implementation & Improvement

• Mining Engineering

I have been asked to find candidates who:

• Have a strong technology/mining systems and reporting base

• Have worked in mining and understand drivers, costs, challenges

• Have the ability to engage at ALL levels across the site and at Head Office

• Be known for building positive, engaging relationships from pit crews up.

• Be proactive and understand what data is most useful and in what form

• Have experience working with a range of mining specific systems

• Are adept at building reports that reflect and predict reality

• Have managed a Mine Control System and dashboards

• Have developed a reputation as a trusted advisor

• Ideally have some experience in coal

• You might be a Mining Engineer, Geologist, Drill and Blast Specialist, or Surveyor looking for a new challenge.

I do want to be up front and stress that we’re not looking for:

• A pure technologist or technology “geek”

• Candidates from outside mining or support services to mining

• Candidates who have job hopped and not put down roots

• Candidates who can’t handle change and CI

I hate to be blunt but we CANNOT consider candidates who:

• Don’t have Australian citizenship or definite PR status

• Are living outside Australia

• Who require sponsorship

We would love you to have some coal industry exposure in NSW or Queensland. You can be FIFO,DIDO, or “live local” and there is a preference that you locate yourself in Queensland.
