Vacancy for MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST – FULL TIME

THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and professional Medical Receptionist with exceptional work ethic to join our busy Geriatric physician practice. This is a position based in Murdoch Medical Clinic, in the St John of God Hospital precinct . Immediate start available.

DUTIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

General Administration duties

Organisation of appointment schedules and referrals for our Specialists

Liaising with patients, family members, other medical practices and hospital staff

Coordinating admissions and triaging clinical calls to Specialists

Process payments (Cash/EFT) including Medicare billing

Process inpatient billing using ECLIPSE

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience required, preferably within a specialist medical practice

Outstanding communication and Customer service a must

High level of organisation and attention to detail required

Be proactive, diligent and most of all caring

Experience with Genie and Microsoft 365 software preferred, but not essential as training provided

Must be able to work in a small, diverse team (2 people) as well as unsupervised

Must be compliant with HDWA and Government Public Health Directives

Typing skills essential
