The City of Cockburn is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Building Administration Officer to lead our Building Administration team. This role is central to ensuring smooth operations, excellent customer service, and compliance with relevant legislation across building-related administrative functions.
About the Role
As the Senior Building Administration Officer, you will oversee a team responsible for managing building applications, records, and customer enquiries. You’ll coordinate workflows, champion continuous improvement, and ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and professional support to both internal teams and external stakeholders. This role works closely with the Service Manager Health and Building Services and the Service Lead Building Services to achieve strategic goals and maintain high standards of service delivery.
About You
You’re a confident and capable administrator with leadership experience and a strong customer service focus. To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- Experience in government or a similar public-facing environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital systems
- Ability to manage competing priorities and lead a team effectively

Salary: $82,049.83 - $87,516.66 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
Hours: Full-time role, with a 38 hours week, 9-day fortnight
