Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead expert analysis of complex application issues and problems and provide appropriate resolutions or workarounds to clients within service level agreement targets.
- Lead operational support, application development and management services for departmental applications systems and integration components.
- Lead the planning, design, build and implementation of application and integration solutions that address business requirements and satisfy relevant departmental, government and industry best practice/standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standards, guidelines and knowledge base articles for applications support, administration and development while ensuring compliance to relevant industry standards and government policies.
- Liaise effectively with clients, federated groups and external stakeholders on applications and integration matters, including the ability to work with federated groups to troubleshoot problems then enhance application technologies utilising established change control methodologies.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends, industry and technology directions and product road maps for applications and integration support, administration and development methodologies and technologies.
- Support the continuous improvement of the Department's applications and integration platforms including the monitoring and tracking of client feedback for improvements or additions and the optimisation of business systems to ensure their efficient, effective, and secure operation.
- Co-ordinate activities with other developers in the team to ensure that integration projects are delivered to requirements and development standards/guardrails.
Technical abilities and cultural capability:

- Knowledge and experience in leading contemporary application and integration development and support functions within a team.
- Experience in analysing highly complex technical issues with applications, advanced problem-solving skills, and resolution experience in collaboration with other support teams.
- Knowledge and solid experience in Microsoft development technologies, including .Net, REST API, APIM, Power Platform and D365, SQL Server, DevOps, and automated pipeline deployment.
- Experience managing workloads in an ITIL based support environment using an enterprise product like ServiceNow.
- Experience in leading a highly proficient technical team supporting a mix of cloud-based applications integrations and on-premises applications and databases at an enterprise level.
