About the Client:
Our client is seeking a Conveyancing Legal Secretary/Licensed Conveyancer to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting their conveyancing practice and ensuring exceptional service delivery to their clients.
About the roles:
An exciting full-time opportunity exists for a highly organised and flexible individual who thrives in a busy and supportive environment. In this varied role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding support to our practitioner teams, Director and Senior Lawyers.
Specific responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to:
- Providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the conveyancing team
- Liaising with clients, real estate agents, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth conveyancing process
- Maintaining accurate client files and records
- Drafting correspondence & legal documents using precedents
- Diary management
- Preparing correspondence to clients, agents, banks, third parties and other solicitors
- Managing legal calendars, coordinating appointments, and scheduling meetings
- Efficient file management - opening, updating, and archiving client files
- Preparing, drafting, and formatting legal documents (e.g. briefs, pleadings, affidavits, etc.)
- Communicating with clients, courts, barrister and external stakeholders
- Assisting with time recording, billing, and invoicing
- Providing general administrative support to our legal team as needed
- Assisting with settlements
About you:
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in administration
- Microsoft365 proficiency and confidence learning new systems
- Adaptability and experience in an efficient and fast-paced environment
- Initiative and autonomy while also taking a collaborative approach
- Excellent written skills and attention to detail
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Fine-tuned multi-tasking and organisational skills
