Legal Secretary - Wills & Estates
Are you an experienced Legal Secretary with a passion for Wills & Estates law, ready to join a market-leading legal and advisory firm with a strong history and a forward-thinking vision?
Your New Role
As a Legal Secretary in the dynamic Wills & Estates team, you'll be a vital part of a collaborative and experienced group of professionals. My client is seeking a professional to join their team on a full-time basis in their Newcastle office. In this role, you'll not only use your existing skills but also have the opportunity to develop them further, supported by a firm that truly values your career aspirations.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting with Wills & Estates: From preparing Wills and Powers of Attorney to drafting EPOA's, you will play a crucial role in creating essential estate planning documents and associated statements.
Mastering Document Management: Efficiently word-process, type, and collate a wide range of correspondence and documents. You'll be skilled in amending and formatting documents quickly and accurately, often from digital dictation.
Handling Administrative Functions: Manage all aspects of file administration, including opening new files, preparing costs letters, and archiving completed files.
Financial Processes: Generate trust and office receipts and handle cheque requisitions.
Organisational Support: Proactively manage and maintain calendars, monitor client timeframes, and provide timely reminders to ensure everything runs smoothly.
What You Offer
My client is looking for a self-starter with strong experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within a Wills & Estates practice. You'll have a demonstrated understanding of legal terminology and procedures, excellent interpersonal skills, and the initiative to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
What You'll Get in Return
My client believes in supporting their people to be their best. When you join them, you'll get:
Career Development: My client prides itself on helping you achieve your career aspirations with tailored 1:1 mentoring, an extensive e-learning platform, internal and external workshops, and clear promotional pathways.
Flexible Working: My client understands that one size doesn't fit all. They offer options for hybrid work, part-time hours, and compressed working weeks.
Rewards & Benefits: Enjoy performance-based incentive bonuses, 16 weeks of paid gender-neutral parental leave, birthday leave, #4U leave, and access to an Employee Assistance Program.
Modern Workplace: This firm is supported by smart technology, a paper-light environment, and a healthy, values-based culture.
Community Engagement: Contribute to the firm's corporate social responsibility activities through their pro-bono program.
You will love working with them!
