About the role
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of projects, ensuring deliverability within defined time, cost, and quality parameters. Reporting directly to the Director, the GM plays a critical role in managing client relationships, guiding Project Coordinators (PCs), and proactively addressing project risks and issues. The GM ensures projects are executed efficiently while upholding the company's core values. Driving continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to the overall success of the business.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Coordinating the day-to-day activities of the team leaders and client liaison including sales and Business development
* Collaborating with other departments, such as fabrication, quality control and logistics, to optimise end-to-end operations.
* Providing training and mentoring to Management team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
* Good working knowledge of Cad software and or similar programs, ideally Framecad, Factory app.
Skills & experience
* Experience in Steel, light gauge steel framing and products
* Experience in the Operational side of steel fabrication and manufacturing
* Strong understanding of design and design management requirements and shop drawing reviews
* Experience in reviewing construction and structural documentation and technical specifications
* An understanding of buildings and structures
