A confidential and well-backed mining company is seeking a Finance Manager ready to take ownership of core financial operations during a critical growth phase. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves opportunity to embed financial discipline across the business, with direct influence on cost control, systems development, and decision support.

Reporting to the COO and working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll lead the financial reporting cycle end-to-end—management accounting, cashflow forecasting, compliance, and cost modelling—while also mentoring a small finance team and shaping systems for scale.

This exciting, “green field” type role carries the following areas of responsibility:

Deliver all month-end, quarter-end and year-end management reporting

Own stockpile accounting, operational cost controls and financial models

Guide budgeting, forecasting and cashflow monitoring

Support compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements

Strengthen internal controls, systems and financial procedures

Provide trusted analysis and insight to operational leaders

The ideal candidate will carry the following expertise and personality:

A finance or accounting qualification with 8–12 years’ relevant experience

Proven success in a mining, resources, or related sector

Hands-on approach with a strong foundation in management accounting

Experience leading small teams and improving systems and processes

A calm, pragmatic style and the confidence to guide senior stakeholders
