Randstad is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented APS4 Security Vetting Officer to join a vital team within the Australian Federal Government. In this essential role, you will be a key contributor to the national security framework by ensuring the integrity and trustworthiness of personnel who access sensitive government information. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct security vetting and assessments for new and existing personnel, in line with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).

Process and manage sensitive data, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with all relevant policies.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including applicants, referees, and other government agencies, to collect and verify information.

Maintain meticulous records and registers of security clearances and associated documentation.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of vetting processes and procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in a data processing or administrative role with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Previous experience in a security vetting, compliance, or similar regulatory environment is highly regarded.

Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume workload and competing priorities.
