The Town of Port Hedland is looking for a passionate Stakeholder Engagement Officer to lead the management, development, and implementation of key engagement projects and initiatives.
This exciting role is responsible for ensuring effective engagement is undertaken to drive key strategic areas and facilitate the continued growth of collaborative partnerships within our community.
As Stakeholder Engagement Officer, you will lead engagement with internal and external stakeholders including businesses, community organisations, government agencies and community members and support the implementation of the Town's new Community Engagement Framework.
Our ideal applicant will have experience and knowledge in effective engagement methodologies and navigating political dynamics, with a proven ability to identify, develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships. You will have highly developed interpersonal skills with an ability to function within a multi-skilled team.
You will be joining the team at an exciting time as the Town embarks on a culture of change with embracing of a wide range of new technologies, a large capital works program, and several other projects that make the Town a desirable place to live and work. As Stakeholder Engagement Officer, you will be directly involved in supporting the success of these projects.

Work Related Requirements
The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in community engagement, communications, marketing, social science or community development, or a related area. IAP2 training will be considered favorably.
- National Police Clearance
- Current 'C' class driver's license
- Rights to work in Australia
