Morton Real Estate is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Property Management Accounts Assistant to join our established team in Crow’s Nest. Our offices are located only a few minutes from the new Crows Nest metro station.

Your Role:

As a Property Management Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our property finance team. Your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing the automated invoice workflow in Our Property, a cloud automation software.

Resolving duplications and liaising with the development team to create new templates.

Investigating and resolving parsing variations.

Managing the accounts inbox to ensure all invoices are received in Our Property.

Liaising with strata ,councils and Sydney Water accounts receivable teams as needed.

Proactively reviewing future invoices to ensure all outgoings have been received and processed.

Performing ad hoc invoice entry and accounting projects as required.

Reviewing Landlord Insurance policy expiry dates, ensuring renewals are processed.

Assisting with property ownership transfers.

Assisting with owner and tenancy refunds and payments

Conducting trade statement checks.

Collaborating with Property Managers, Leasing Agents, and other stakeholders.

Ensuring adherence to Trust accounting principles as outlined in the Supervision Guidelines.

Have knowledge of residential real estate.

Possess a strong understanding of administration and accounting principles.

Take ownership of problems and responsibilities.

Understand technology and have a grasp of how software systems work.

Have a high level of attention to detail.

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Have a background in property management, finance, or business administration.

Can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
