Avoca Beach Hotel is a family owned pub, events and accommodation destination located in Avoca Beach on the NSW Central Coast. Set on 15 acres of natural bushland and native gardens, just two kilometres from Avoca's popular beach. The pub consists of Saltwater Bar & Bistro, Sports Bar, Gaming/ Tab facilities, and Bottleshop. The property also includes 78 rooms and apartments, with accommodation options in both self-contained and motel style rooms. Our Events and Conference amenities consists of a variety of spaces suitable for Weddings, Corporate meetings and special occasions. Also on the property is Treetops Café, serving modern Australian cafe cuisine to both the locals, and our in-house guests.
We are currently seeking an experienced Events and Marketing professional to join our team on a full time or part time basis. Reporting to the General Manager, you have experience in all facets of modern marketing as well as hands-on experience in running a variety of events from corporate functions and conferences to bespoke weddings & parties.
The Role
The Marketing and Events Manager is responsible for executing the marketing, sales, & promotional activities of the business. You will have key input into developing and revising the marketing plan. Your role is to increase sale and visitation across all departments. You will work closely with your colleagues including FOH and kitchen departments to ensure a smooth efficient execution of the the marketing plan, as well as Events. A solid understanding of hospitality is essential, including Accommodation and Food & Beverage in particular.
In this position you will be responsible for:
Digital media including social pages, and our website, all communications including EDMs, and press releases, along with graphic design, and physical collateral.
Advertising material both externally and internally, including radio, print media, and third party arrangements.
Developing, and maintaining all community relationships including sponsorships in line with organisational values and brand ambitions.
Maintaining and developing relationships with industry bodies including DNSW, Central Coast Tourism, AHA, along with government stakeholders.
All entertainment bookings for the site and onsite logistics.
Coordinate with relevant departments to organise and execute various events/functions.

About You
Proven experience Marketing a similar tourism and hospitality based business, ideally with relevant experience in Accommodation and Food & Beverage
Experience in developing on-brand digital content and copy writing
Experience with Squarespace and Canva, or similar, desirable
Social media management skills and an understanding of Google Analytics
Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills. As an ambassador of and for the Avoca Beach Hotel you are a confident relationship builder.
