Nixie Nox, Richmond's Smallest Pub, is growing. We are looking for skilled Chefs de Partie (CDP) to join our dedicated kitchen team. If you succeed in a supportive, fast-paced environment and have a passion for producing high-quality food, we want to hear from you. As a newly established business we are excited about our next phase of growth, and we are looking to add an enthusiastic professional to join us on our journey.

Currently Nixie Nox trades 5 days a week with dinner service Wednesday to Sunday, allowing for consistent shifts and hours. We are an independently owned and operated business that is focused on delivering for our customers to the highest standard as our reviews show.

We’re looking for a Chef de Partie to join our team in a Full-Time capacity. This is a great role for a steady, skilled cook who values balance, reliability, and the creative pulse of a modern pub kitchen. There is great potential for growth as we are looking to expand trade to include lunch periods in the coming months so there’ll be shifts where you’ll be responsible for leading the kitchen.

The Role
Working as a chef at Nixie Nox, you will:

Permanent full-time contract with consistent hours each week

Personal and Annual leave accrual

Maintain a high standard of food preparation and service – Work efficiently to ensure consistency and quality across all dishes.

Manage your section – Maintain mise-en-place, stock control, and uphold a clean, organised workstation.

Follow OH&S and food safety standards – Ensure a safe and compliant kitchen at all times.

Work as part of a small team – Collaborate with our talented head chef to execute smooth and efficient services.

Step up when required – Support our chef and take the lead service when required.

What We’re Looking For

Experience – Minimum Two years in a similar role, with a proven ability to handle busy services.

Qualifications – Certificate 3 - IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).

Skill and work ethic – Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ability to work under pressure, and commitment to delivering quality dishes.

Reliability and professionalism – A chef who takes pride in their craft, values teamwork, and is ready to contribute to a high-performing kitchen.
