Systems Engineer
Transparency IT
Posted 9 days ago
You'll get a hybrid setup with two days working from home each week, giving you more control over your time without losing the face-to-face interaction that helps build strong client relationships.
There's a clear path to move into project work or management if that's where you want to go next. You'll also get paid study leave and incentives to gain vendor certifications, which will help you stay sharp and progress faster.
This isn't just a helpdesk job. You'll be doing more systems admin work, giving you hands-on experience across a broad range of technologies. You'll also be supported by people above you and will help guide those below, so you'll be part of a team that grows together.
Many people have been there longer than five years, which says a lot about the support and stability you'll get. You'll work with clients who have several hundred users, giving you exposure to larger environments than most multi client MSPs in Perth offer.
This role is with a highly structured, best-practice-driven MSP that does things properly—no cowboy IT, no winging it, just well-documented processes, high standards, and a professional team that takes IT seriously. They have a strong HR and Marketing team and are big enough to matter but small enough to maintain a really tight knit team environment.
They also work with not-for-profits, so the work you do actually makes a difference.
What you'll do
You'll own IT support tickets from named clients and see them through to completion. Managing everything from a systems administration perspective, you'll cover cloud, servers, desktops and escalated user administration and support.
Taking escalated support tickets from the helpdesk that sits in front of you, you'll resolve issues and keep clients happy. You'll be responsible for 6 to 10 clients, ranging in size from 10 to 500 users, giving you a variety of environments to work with.
It's about providing level 2 and 3 support and sys admin services to clients of this Managed Service Provider.
What you'll need
- Strong M365 support and systems admin experience including Exchange online, Sharepoint online, Entra ID and preferably Intune.
- A good understanding of TCP/IP networking including switches, routers, vlans and DHCP and DNS.
- Some good exposure to virtualisation.
- Solid understanding of Windows Server, AD and GP.
- Ideally some MSP experience looking after multiple clients.
