As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to help drive informed financial decisions and improve operational efficiency.
Your Role:
Reporting to the General Manager and director, you will take ownership of cost management, stock valuation, and financial planning across our cold chain logistics and wholesale operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing monthly financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, and governing and statutory bodies.
Analyse cost of goods sold (COGS) and wastage, with insights into product profitability.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple sites.
Oversee inventory costing and reconciliation in alignment with seasonal supply fluctuations.
Assist with pricing strategies for domestic and export markets.
Support compliance with ATO, food safety, and industry-specific financial reporting requirements.
Advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems.
Work closely with operations and procurement teams to align financial plans with supply and demand cycles.
Maintaining internal control systems.
Contribute to the development of dashboards and BI tools for operational and financial KPIs.
May appraise cash flow and financial risk of capital investment projects.
Skills & Experience:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
CPA/CA qualified or working towards.
At least 3+ years of experience in a management accounting or commercial finance role.
Industry experience in food, FMCG, agriculture, or seafood preferred.
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with inventory/accounting systems (e.g., MYOB, Xero, JIWA)
Solid understanding of inventory costing and seasonal stock cycles.
High attention to detail, with strong communication and commercial acumen.
