About the Role

Reporting to senior management, this hands-on role will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations as well as project-based financial management. You'll play a key part in budget tracking, reporting, payroll, and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily accounting transactions and reconcile accounts to GL.

Set up and monitor project financials, including budgets, funding, and reporting.

Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate financial administration.

Prepare and interpret financial statements: P&L, Balance Sheet, Aged Debtors/Creditors, and Cash Flow.

Process payroll and associated statutory requirements.

Prepare BAS statements and assist with year-end accounts and audit processes.

Maintain compliance with funding agreements and reporting obligations.

Oversee accounts payable and receivable, and manage aged balances.

Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.

1–2 years’ experience in a similar accounting role.

Proven project accounting and reporting experience.

Strong knowledge of accounting software (ERP systems preferred).

High-level Excel and analytical skills.

Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
