Along with incumbent management and working alongside the Business Owner, this is an exciting opportunity for a Hospitality Manager with suitable experience to join the dynamic team at Nevermind Bar, building their hospitality career.

"Nevs" is a Hawthorn institution. Nevermind's operations entail multiple Bars, vibrant Band Room & Performance Space, multiple popular function spaces and an all-day and all-night food & beverage offering, providing good times to the people of Hawthorn’s university precinct for the past 27 years.

As Nevermind Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business’ daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and a seamless food, beverage and an experience of a good time for our guests.

Nevermind Bar trades 7 days from midday until late.

The Manager's positions entail operational oversight, communication and management of all stakeholders – including, but not limited to Bar Staff, Kitchen Staff, Live Acts and Artists, DJ’s, Security, Liquor Licensing and - of course - our wonderful patrons.

Nevermind Bar is a local neighbourhood favourite that harbours a safe, inclusive and atmospheric offer of relaxed dining, rooftop drinks & evening partying. Nevermind Bar is an animated, energetic and upbeat venue, yet also takes pause, offering a slower, cosier rhythm of local hang out.

Our beloved open air rooftop beer gardens, Band Room and 3 bars are cherished by all, sippers, diners and dancers alike.

This full-time role (part time role available & negotiable for right candidate) offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, vibrant environment and contribute to the continued success of this acclaimed institution.

What we are looking for:

Hospitality management experience, ideally in a pub or nightclub setting

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Great customer service skills

The ability to resolve conflict and handle customer complaints effectively

Strong problem solving skills with the ability to think effectively on your feet

Flexibility in working hours, including evening and weekend availability

A genuine passion for hospitality, attention to detail, and delivering world-class service.
