Bar Supervisor

We are hiring for a Bar Supervisor. The role involves running shifts (including opens and closes), cashing up, working closely with the management team and staff to maintain high standards, and contributing to cocktail creation.

30 hours available in a casual role (potentially more for the right person)

What we are looking for:

A passion for people, guests and service. This is everything to us and of the utmost importance

Strong product knowledge with an emphasis on classic cocktails, and an interest in cocktail creation

Experience that demonstrates supervisory responsibility including strong time management skills, the ability to work well as part of a team leading on shift, and also the ability to work autonomously on solo shifts

Happy to work late nights (usually rostered for two 3:30am finishes a week)

Franklin’s is a cosy bar specialising in friendly neighbourhood cocktails. We have a warm fireplace, comfy booths, killer cocktails, wines and beers, lots of bar seats, a lovely leafy laneway & courtyard, vinyl DJs on weekends, delicious pizzas and a fun-loving party atmosphere, whilst always maintaining amazing service.

The bar prides itself on having lots of regulars and a strong hospo following in the area, so being able to talk to guests at the bar and cultivate relationships with locals is really important to us as a little bar in the 'burbs.

Franklin's has a strong cocktail program with a lot of care and thought put into our seasonal cocktail menus. We strive to use cutting edge techniques, flavour combinations and try to make accessible drinks for everybody, without being pretentious.

We also have a sister bar located on Lygon Street in Brunswick East called Eydie's, a wonderful locals bar with a fantastic community, and offer discounts for staff across both venues.

Opening hours: Mon-Wed: 5pm-12am / Thurs: 5pm-1am / Fri-Sun: 4pm-3am
