The position of a Team Leader to provide leadership and direction to teams of Personal Care Assistants. The successful candidate will promote a positive culture of resident-centred care, ensuring exemplary care is provided to all residents.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing and supporting Personal Care Assistants so they can perform their roles safely and to the best of their ability
• Lead and support Personal Care staff to ensure accurate reporting, delegation of tasks and working as an effective team.
• Provide Personal Care team with relevant handover information
• Leading team meetings and conducting inductions/orientations of student placement and new employee’s, professional development, mandatory training, supervision and appraisals
• Assist managers, registered nurses, allied health team, lifestyle team and roster administration officer to provide a high level of care
• Support new residents in transition into residential care Acting as a positive role model to colleagues.
• Assist and manage queries and feedback from residents and their families, your co-workers and other service providers

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

• Certificate IV Individual Support (Aging) equivalent or willingness to obtain or higher
• Assist Clients with Medication (HLTHPS006) desirable
• Experience Knowledge of the Commonwealth’s Aged Care Industry Aged Care Quality Standards and required documentation.
• A current National Police Check/NDIS Workers Screening or willingness to obtain one.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a PCA
• Mandatory COVID vaccinations
• Recommended annual influenza vaccinations
