A new opportunity is available for an Operations Manager in our well-established fencing business.

Based in Toronto, Chainwire Fencing Specialist has been operating locally for over 15 years and has built a strong, reliable reputation. If you are looking for a long-term position in a family operated business with strong ethics, this is the position for you.

This senior leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives on creating efficiencies, driving growth and ensuring operational excellence. A key aspect of this role is to find efficiencies within our current business model.

Upon commencement, you will need to be prepared to experience all functions of the business to gain a clearer understanding of what’s involved in the work we do and to develop relationships. This will include site-based fencing installations and metal fabrication work.

The Operations Manager will be based on-site in our office in Toronto Monday – Friday with a daily start time of 5:30am. There is a starting salary of $120k - $150k; which is negotiable based on experience. A mobile phone will be provided, as well as a bonus system being available. The position is available to start from mid to late August.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations across all aspects of the business; including our in-house fabrication workshop, site-based works, sales and administration.

Manage scheduling and resource planning.

Support the sales process to achieve and exceed targets.

Build and maintain strong relationships with staff and clients.

Reporting to the Managing Director on measurable efficiency gains and business performance.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a related field such as construction or civil works – if you have a Trade background this would also be viewed favourably.

Experience with project management and people management.

Driver's Licence and White Card. If you don’t already hold a White Card, just a willingness to gain one is needed.
