About the role
Based in the Brighton Road Early Education Centre, the Early Childhood Teacher is responsible for developing and implementing the educational programs and achieving quality learning outcomes in line with the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG). You will do this by:
Implementing a holistic approach to enhance each child’s individual abilities and interests
Creating and maintaining an inclusive, fun, safe, healthy and productive learning environment
Creating and maintaining strong relationships with children, families, carers and other team members
Keeping records of children’s progress, routines and interests
Ensuring compliance with routines, policies, processes and practices
Working collaboratively within the team upholding our Sandgate Kids values every day.
About you
You will light up our children’s faces every day by being enthusiastic, fun and passionate about their learning and development. You will also have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification) OR Bachelor of Primary Teaching with approved diploma level qualification or enrolled and studying towards
Experience in implementing and delivering a Kindergarten program
Sound knowledge and understanding of National Quality Framework and Standards (“NQF” and “NQS”), the Early Years Learning Framework (“EYLF”) and QKLG
A desire, to work with children and demonstrated capacity to enhance their experiences by creating a stimulating learning environment
Skilled in documenting observations of children’s behaviour and development, in the form of learning stories
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Computer literacy
Proven willingness to learn and improve
Current Working with Children check, First-Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
