We are looking for a Chef who has skills and experience in the kitchen, but might not have been in a management role before. If you are committed and interested in showcasing produce from Geelong and the Bellarine, then we can offer you a path to grow into a Sous Chef role as you develop your skills.

You will work closely with our Head Chef to create unforgettable dining experiences for our guests. From developing seasonal degustation menus using produce sourced from Geelong, Bellarine, and the Otways, to overseeing food production and maintaining hygiene standards, your contributions will be vital to our success. Your attention to detail and ability to follow standardised recipes will ensure consistent excellence in taste and presentation.

You'll grow to play a crucial role in managing our kitchen operations. Your leadership skills will be developed to help the Head Chef supervise and motivate our dedicated kitchen staff, creating a harmonious and productive work environment.

We prioritise work-life balance with a structured schedule of 38 hours a week, concluding each weekday by 4 PM, with no split shifts. We also shut for a couple of weeks over Christmas and Easter, allowing you valuable time for rest and relaxation.

To thrive in this role, you'll need kitchen experience backed by a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. Your passion for local produce and your creative flair will set you apart from the rest.
