- implement changes that benefit children birth to 13 years-of-age and their families
- monitor and promote the consistent application of the Education and Care Services National Lawacross all states and territories
- support the early childhood education and care sector to improve quality outcomes for children

The Role
The Manager, Leadership and Management Program is responsible for managing a team of leadership and management facilitators and content creators to develop and deliver the Queensland Leadership and Management Program for beginning, intermediate and experienced children's education and care educators and leaders. The program is an initiative under the Queensland Workforce Strategy, funded by the Queensland Government.
This role is full time and fixed-term (24 months) at ACECQA Band 6/7 ($126,436 - $161,939).
About You
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Lead, manage and develop a team of professional learning facilitators and content creators, collaborating with other Quality and Compliance Projects managers and admin staff to plan, schedule and deliver on program and organisational outcomes. Foster a positive and high-performing culture by promoting a collaborative and inclusive environment where team members feel valued, motivated, and empowered to achieve their best work.
- Manage the planning, design, delivery, review and ongoing improvement of the Qld Leadership and Management Program including day to day operations, project planning, reporting and evaluation as well as the delivery and monitoring of milestones, deliverables and risk registers.
- Through the analysis and use of contemporary research, best practice, policy, legislation and frameworks, lead the design and delivery of the Qld Leadership and Management program, making informed decisions to implement engaging, evidence-based professional content and professional learning strategies that achieve measurable uplift in the leadership and management practice of educators working in education and care settings.
- Act on behalf of ACECQA at meetings and other forums to represent and explain the views of ACECQA and identify, cultivate and maintain new and existing working relationships with external stakeholders, including government representatives, peak organisations, academics, subject matter experts, LAMP working group members, as well as education and care providers, leaders and educators to enhance program and organisational success.
- Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with internal ACECQA business units, including specialist research, IT, HR, digital design, and communication teams to deliver on quality program outcomes.
- In line with the Australian Government's Style Manual and ACECQA's tone, develop and deliver professional learning materials, reports, briefs, presentations and communications and respond to regular and urgent requests for information and provide expert advice to the senior manager and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the development, accuracy, and storage of program related documentation, records, and data and ensure self and team compliance with all ACECQA policies and procedures and stakeholder expectations.
- Adhere to the spirit and practice of ACECQA's Code of Conduct and champion ACECQA's values: Integrity, Commitment, Respect and Collaboration. Foster an inclusive, culturally safe and agile performance culture where people feel motivated, connected, and empowered.
- Other duties as required.
Mandatory Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in early childhood education, or a related field of study; or comparable professional experience.
- Qualification in leadership and/or management or comparable professional experience.
- Hold a current Blue Card or be willing and eligible to attain a card before commencing in the role.
- Available to undertake frequent travel across QLD, including metro and regional locations, overnight stays and hold a full driver's licence. This includes some travel to the ACECQA Sydney based office.
Desirable:
- A post graduate qualification in early childhood education, leadership and management or a related field of study.
- A tertiary qualification in learning and development, or a related field of study.
- Convenient access to a major airport that provides direct flights into metro and regional Qld.
