About the Business Unit:
The Security and Intelligence Division (SID) of Corrections Victoria is responsible for the provision of security and intelligence services for the correctional system. This division provides security and emergency management, electronic monitoring, and intelligence services, and works with other law enforcement agencies to maintain a secure and safe correctional system.
The SID Human Resources team is responsible for payroll, leave entitlements, finance and procurement matters for the SID. The SID Human Resources team is also responsible for processing white passes for Corrections Victoria.
About the Role:
The Administration Support Officer - Human Resources and Finance forms part of the SID Human Resources team and is responsible for assisting in the processing of payroll, leave entitlements and finance related tasks.
Some of your duties will include:
- Assisting in maintaining personnel and payroll functions for the Security and Intelligence Division
- Assisting in processing salary data and hours worked onto the CHRIS21 payroll system and prepare fortnightly reconciliations against the departmental rostering system
- With supervision, maintaining divisional rosters via the Time Target rostering system.
The position takes place primarily in Ravenhall VIC 3023 - however, some statewide travel to other SID locations may be required.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- The ability to interpret employee entitlements from sources such as Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement 2024, and Fair Work Act
- Experience with an integrated personnel / payroll system and the ability to enter, modify and extract data accurately
- The ability to seek resolution of problems through policy or process guidelines as well as the initiative to seek guidance by providing information and ideas relevant towards resolution of the problem.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Formal qualifications are advantageous, and/or previous HR and Payroll experience is desirable
- Knowledge of the Victorian Public Service Agreement, and computer systems such as CHRIS21, ORACLE, Time Target and TRIM, will be highly regarded.
