The Opportunity
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented People and Safety Project & Support Officer to play a vital role in driving operational excellence and supporting key initiatives within the People and Safety team.
Reporting to the Project Systems and Data Coordinator, this role will work closely with other People and Safety leadership team including the Chief People Officer.
Key Responsibilities
As the People and Safety Project & Support Officer, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the People and Safety Leadership team and lead and support key initiatives within the People and Safety team. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of business unit functions. Other key responsibilities include:
- Provide support with management of business unit finances including reporting, purchasing and budgeting.
- Coordinate and support People and Safety specific talent acquisition activities such as onboarding and exiting of people and safety staff.
- Display effective customer service to internal and external stakeholders whom utilise the services provided by the People & Safety Business Unit.
- Support the people and safety leadership team on confidential staffing issues, including sourcing data from people systems, documentation support, meeting coordination and document management.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Degree or Diploma in Business or similar discipline or lesser formal qualification and relevant experience in a similar position
- Demonstrated skills and experience in establishing, maintaining and continually improving processes and systems.
- Experience in operating in an area of competing demands and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills including the creation of reports and/or preparation of external correspondence.
- Experience in supporting process improvement projects with an understanding of general project management methodologies.
