The responsibility of the Stock Receiver / Stock Controller employee is to contribute to the successful daily and long term operations of Apromo Trading and its customers. A degree of multi skilling is required for this position including but not limited to the operation of all appropriate materials handling equipment. Receiving and checking of all inbound stock as per our HACCP & FICA program for compliance and ensuring stock is replenished in a timely manner.

• Unloading and receiving of sea freight containers and receipt of other arrivals such as air freight and general deliveries.
• Carry out a 7 point container safety check as part of our Trusted Trader Program
• Checking all stock arrivals in line with our HACCP & FICA program for compliance, this includes:-
• LOT and BATCH code checking and recording
• Use By Date checking
• Nutritional and other label checking
• Rotation of stock for all new arrivals, FIFO procedures. (First in First Out)
• Recording and Checking of LOT codes for traceability in the event of a recall.
• Re stocking all product (picking shelves) in a timely manner including freezer.

• Liaise with purchasing personnel to ensure timely and appropriate ordering of stock and to advise of any irregular stock movements.
• Recording of temperature in Freezer and Chocolate room as per HACCP compliance
• Making sure magnetic strips are allocated for every product

• Updating product location details in the Inventory Management system
  • Maintain the forklift and all ancillary receiving equipment in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Arrange for waste and recycling pickups and disposal as and when required.
  • Working with the Inventory Co Ordinator to manage inventory levels by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling variances as needed.

Key selection Criteria:

Forklift license with experience in high reach environment essential.

Good understanding of the OH&S workplace requirements.

Physically fit as repetitive lifting is required.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Basic computer skills essential.
