Role Summary:
We’re looking for a highly organised and self-driven Service & Maintenance Manager to lead our support operations and help scale the department. You’ll oversee our service and maintenance division, from customer follow-ups and job bookings to stock management and invoicing. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and recurring service revenue.
We are a start-up focused on growth! Our goal is to scale! The industry is very fast-paced and chaotic at times which will suit someone that loves a challenge and is able to adapt quickly. You will be exposed to an environment that will refine and develop your practical skills at an exponential rate not only helping you to grow in this field but helping to build a foundational skillset that is extremely valuable.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule follow-ups with customers every 6 to 12 months for regular service work.
Promote service and maintenance plans to schools, businesses, and government clients.
Prepare and issue quotes, contracts, and invoices for service work.
Coordinate on-site and in-store technician schedules.
Ensure timely communication with customers before, during, and after service.
Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate reordering when necessary.
Keep the service area clean, organised, and safe.
Identify process improvements to enhance service delivery.
We're Looking For Someone With....
We are looking for the right person! Therefore, your character and your ambition will be the main trait we look for in this role, as well as;
Background in operations, service coordination, or technical support.
Comfortable with administrative duties (quoting, invoicing, CRM use).
Able to manage technicians and scheduling independently.
Previous experience in the 3D printing, IT, or electronics industry is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
The ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to take on challenges.
Unimpeachable character, meaning you are honest, trustworthy and reliable.
Ability to analyse the situation, provide constructive feedback as well as receive feedback, understand it and process this critically.
