Position Overview

The Sales Officer plays a key customer-facing role, responsible for supporting lead qualification, managing the day-to-day operation of the showroom, processing approved quotes, and assisting System Design Specialists in delivering excellent renewable energy solutions. This role is integral to converting customer enquiries into successful projects, ensuring outstanding client experiences at all touchpoints.

Sales and Marketing Manager

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Proactively support the sales process by assisting with qualifying leads, ensuring enquiries are accurately assessed and routed to the appropriate team members.

Manage and operate the showroom, providing a welcoming and informative environment for walk-in customers and scheduled appointments.

Serve as a first point of contact for customers, responding professionally to enquiries, providing product information, and helping guide customers through their renewable energy options.

Prepare and process approved quotes into our job management system, accurately entering data and maintaining customer records.

Collaborate closely with System Design Specialists to facilitate the flow of information, assist with customer documentation, and ensure smooth handover from sales to installation phases.

Maintain the presentation, cleanliness, and resource stocks of the showroom to ensure a high standard at all times.

Support sales reporting, administration, and follow-up activities as required.

Stay updated on RPC’s products, services, and industry trends to provide knowledgeable advice to prospective and existing clients.

Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold Rainbow Power Company’s values of customer service, quality, and community.

Selection Criteria

Experience in a sales, retail, or customer service role.

Strong people skills and a proven ability to engage confidently with customers face-to-face and by phone/email.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Demonstrated ability to process sales documentation and maintain accurate records.

Competence with digital tools, CRMs, and standard office software.

Willingness to learn about renewable energy products, with a passion for sustainability.

Collaborative approach and commitment to supporting overall team objectives.

Position Details

Full-time, 38 hours per week, Mon-Fri 9a - 5p

Annual Salary: $60,000 + Super.

Office/showroom-based in Nimbin, NSW

Some weekend or after-hours work may be required to support showroom opening hours or events.
