About the Role

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Implementation & Assessor Support Consultant to join our People and Organisational Development team on a full-time, fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Competency Manager, you’ll play a hands-on role in supporting Public Transport Authority (PTA) Field Assessors and the wider business to apply our competency frameworks, policies, procedures, and systems effectively. This includes:

Build the capability of Field Assessors through hands-on coaching, mentoring, inductions, and ongoing support—particularly during their initial assessments and professional development.

Manage Field Assessor inductions, competency records, and internal development programs, while coordinating forums and tracking completion of training and assessment requirements.

Help build understanding of competency frameworks and processes across the business; facilitate validation sessions and assist with framework updates and reporting.

Work with the Competency Manager to implement change strategies, communication plans, and ensure new processes are understood and applied consistently across the organisation.

Collaborate with stakeholders, conduct research and analysis, contribute to policy and process improvements, and support the team with documentation and other duties as needed.

About You

To excel in this role, you should possess:

Strong understanding of competency frameworks, governance processes, and principles of effective assessment.

Proven experience in supporting and implementing change management in complex environments.

In-depth knowledge of RTO Standards, the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), the Training Accreditation Council (TAC), and best practice VET compliance.

Strong skills in problem-solving, project management, research, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Sound knowledge of current State and National training systems, issues, and legislative requirements.

Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, mentor staff, and communicate effectively through written and verbal formats.

Proficient in using MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other relevant workplace systems.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to complete within 12 months); a diploma or higher qualification in adult education is desirable.
