We're looking for experienced and passionate Service Designers to lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams in delivering user-centred, accessible, and effective government services. You'll play a key role in shaping connected digital experiences by applying best practice service design methodologies.

What You'll Do:

Lead the creation of service design artefacts (e.g., journey maps, service blueprints, discovery reports)

Facilitate and design workshops for ideation, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement

Champion user needs and embed human-centred design practices across teams

Guide the development of service design plans and manage delivery in line with government standards

Communicate design process, risks, and benefits to drive business engagement

Support collaboration across teams and uplift service design capability through mentoring and training

What We're Looking For:

5+ years' experience in service design

Expertise in human-centred and customer-centric design methodologies

Familiarity with the Whole of Government Service Design and Delivery Process (SDDP)

Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills

Ability to build open, collaborative working environments

Desirable:

Experience designing in government contexts

Knowledge of relevant frameworks, legislation, and standards

Familiarity with SFIA skills: BPRE, DESN, HCEV, MEAS, ORDI, TECH, USEV (levels 4-5)
