Samra Transport Service is a national linehaul logistics company, operating in both the ambient and refrigerated arenas across Australia. We operate 20+ prime movers and trailing equipment with further access to a team of 10+ sub-contractors increasing our fleet as workload fluctuates throughout the year.

We are currently seeking a full-time dedicated Transport Compliance Coordinator who must have NHVR & WAHVL auditing knowledge and driver training experience to join our team based at our head office in Gillman, SA.

As our Compliance Officer you will play a crucial role in implementing, coordinating and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures which align with the national regulatory standards for corporate compliance. Driver training is part of this role which requires a person with experience in the industry who can communicate respectfully with our team.

Duties include (you must have experience specific to the transport industry):

Maintain compliance with NHVR & Mainroads WA requirements; Mass, Maintenance and Fatigue Accreditation

Complete quarterly NHVR & Mainroads WA reports, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements

Arrange and coordinate NHVR, Mainroads WA & HACCP audits

Maintain HACCP cleaning and service records, liaising with staff and contractors as required

Coordinating equipment service schedules and repairs with workshop and operational staff

Manage logchecker and work diary records, generate non-conformance reports and follow up with corrective actions for drivers and sub-contractors.

Maintaining compliant data, records, as well as compliance and management reports on our systems platform.

Maintain customer portals with accurate company, driver and policy data as required

Assist management in developing, updating and executing company WH&S policies and procedures.

Accurately investigate and report incidents, supporting behaviours that always provide a safe working environment.

Provide training assistance and guidance to employees, drivers and subcontractors on compliance related matters as well as company site and client inductions.

Liaising with all stakeholders in the company as well as regulatory Governance and client requirements.

Attributes Required

5+ years of experience in the transport compliance industry working in a similar role

Complete understanding of Chain of Responsibility, NHVR and Mainroads WA regulations with a practical approach.

Strong written and verbal communication skills along with exceptional attention to detail.

Strong computer skills working in web-based programs, MS office products and online portals

Excellent organisational skills as well as multitasking and working under pressure.

Ability to work autonomy and in liaison with all stakeholders.

Provide leadership by motivating, developing, mentoring and coaching staff, drivers and contractors, fostering a high performance and engaged team across the business.

Strong customer focus, driving a compliant service experience beyond customer expectation.
