Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Sales Manager to lead the Victorian Retail Parts division. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving profitable growth and managing the day-to-day operations of the parts department. This includes overseeing inventory management, sales performance, customer service, systems improvement, and team leadership. The role reports to the Head of Aftermarket.
Employment Details:
- Location: Derrimut VIC 3026.
- Employment Type:Full-time, permanent
- Start Date:As soon as possible (subject to notice period and background checks)
- Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Salary Range:$100 - $120K + Super + Bonus (depending on experience)
- Car Allowance:$15K per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Parts Operations:Drive branch profitability through effective sales strategies and operational oversight. Achieve and exceed monthly sales budgets and stretch targets. Deliver exceptional customer service across all channels (in-person, phone, online).
- People Leadership:Lead, coach, and develop a team of parts interpreters and support staff. Set clear KPIs and performance expectations. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
- Process & Systems Management:Develop, implement, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the parts department. Work with IT/ERP teams to optimise system usage for inventory, sales, and reporting functions. Ensure data accuracy in ERP systems.
- Inventory & Supply Chain:Manage stock levels in line with demand forecasts, usage trends, and supplier lead times. Oversee all stock ordering, receiving, storage, and stocktake activities. Monitor and manage stock turns, slow-moving inventory, and obsolete parts.
Essential Selection Criteria:
- Proven experience in a similar spare parts or branch management role.
- Strong knowledge of the heavy automotive, trailer, or engineering sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a P&L and deliver profitable growth.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent customer relationship management and communication skills.
- Skilled in using ERP and inventory management systems.
