About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CaFHS team as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), where you will be responsible for:

  • Deliver proficient, person-centred clinical nursing care and oversee care provision within a defined team
  • Support the Regional Team Manager in clinical leadership, team coordination, and service planning across disciplines
  • Promote continuity and quality of care by monitoring care plans, guiding less experienced staff, and supporting practice improvements
  • Contribute to education and development by supporting students and staff, fostering a positive learning environment
  • Participate in clinical evaluation, audits, and change management initiatives to enhance service delivery and client outcomes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding (or eligible to hold) a current practising certificate
  • Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse, with demonstrated competence in the relevant area of practice
  • Experience supervising student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced staff
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills, with the ability to prioritise and work independently within a multidisciplinary team
  • Sound understanding of relevant legislation, codes of ethics, competency standards, and current issues in nursing/midwifery practice
  • Familiarity with quality improvement systems and the ability to apply creativity and flexibility in clinical and service delivery settings
