Assistant Venue Manager – Grand Junction Hotel, Maitland

We’re on the lookout for a reliable and energetic Assistant Manager to join the team at the Grand Junction Hotel – a busy, community-driven pub known for live music, entertainment, and a young, lively weekend crowd.

About the Role

This full-time role is perfect for someone with leadership experience in hospitality who’s ready to step up and support the Venue Manager in running a high-energy venue. You’ll be leading shifts, supervising staff across both food and beverage service, helping with events and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

What We’re Looking For

At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or duty manager role

Confident managing large crowds and a young demographic

Strong leadership and communication skills

Hands-on and proactive attitude

Must hold current RSA & RCG

Bonus if you’ve worked with live music or events

What You’ll Be Doing

Leading shifts and supervising staff across both food and beverage service

Assisting with rostering, stock control and staff training

Assisting in the management of Ray’s Pizza Joint, our in-house food offering, including service, staffing, and coordination with events

Helping coordinate entertainment and events

Handling customer service and operational issues

Supporting the Venue Manager with compliance and daily operations
