We are a regional pub at the gateway to the beautiful Snowy Valleys which is focussed on quality food & beverages, functions & outstanding customer service.

We are looking for a committed and hands-on Assistant Manager (Second In Charge) to work closely with our Manager to assist in the management, direction and the daily operations and can help lead the team to success. Working weekends, and nights (not late) comes with the territory.

We require someone who is passionate about food, beverages, & most importantly customer service. We are looking for someone who has the skills to manage a shift juggling the needs of staff, patrons and the business.

You will need to have excellent time management, organisation skills, strong leadership skills, an understanding of how to motivate and develop your team and the ability to work independently.

This is a great opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Duty Manager looking for their next challenge, to help lead a great team & have some fun shaping the future for this fabulous pub. Good trade already exists with much scope to improve and to lift the standards overall.

What you need…

Experience in a similar role in a high volume, fast-paced hospitality venue.

Passion for creating a great customer experience.

The ability to lead, develop and inspire action from others.

Excellent administrative and organisational skills.

Excellent product knowledge, across all departments. Food, Beverage (craft beer & cocktails), accommodation.

Back of house experience including POS, Cash Handling, booking systems ordering, stocktake, etc. Willingness to learn new systems.

Solid understanding of all facets of Hotel Management, including compliance, rosters/labour management, safety and stock control.

Current RSA/RCG essential

First Aid certification preferred
