About the role

Aster and Sweetpea Services' is seeking an experienced Behavioural, Social and Inclusion Support Specialist to join our team to service the Central Coast, NSW on a contract basis. As a Behavioural, Social and Inclusion Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assessing and providing assistance to our clients and families to help them thrive.

What you'll be doing

Conducting comprehensive assessments and observations to identify clients' strengths, limitations and needs

Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans to address clients' behavioural, social and inclusion needs

Providing hands-on therapy including activities of daily living training, adaptive equipment recommendation

Provide parent empowerment sessions to guide, teach and recommend strategies to support them

Collaborating with other multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to client care

Documenting client progress and outcomes in line with regulatory and organisational requirements

Participating in professional development activities to maintain and enhance your skills

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or relevant field

Registration with relevant body for example, NESA registration

Experience developing plans and reports

Extensive experience creating and implementing strategies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, families and the multidisciplinary team

Proficient in using technology, including electronic client management systems

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Strong experience with behaviours and implementing strategies for the child, family and school

Strong attention to detail
