Our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) services provide children with recreation-based activities with emphasis on social interaction and a sense of fun in a safe and secure environment. A range of activities are offered including art, sports, games, dramatic play, nature-based play, cooking and excursions.
We are currently seeking experienced and motivated OSHC Assistant Coordinators, which are located in multiple OSHC Services:
- Margaret Hendry Primary School (Juniors Program):
This Assistant Coordinator position holds day-to-day responsibility for the Juniors program, supporting up to 33 children from preschool and kindergarten during school terms. The position will act as the Responsible Person, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and engagement of all children. During school holidays, the role shifts to supporting the broader team while continuing to fulfil Responsible Person duties. The position will work closely with the Senior Coordinator, who oversees the entire program, to maintain a high-quality, developmentally appropriate environment for the children in our care.
- Evelyn Scott Primary School:
This Assistant Coordinator position supports the Senior Coordinator in managing a large and vibrant OSHC program. The position will contribute to the smooth operation of daily activities, occasionally acting as the Responsible Person. Key responsibilities include supporting high-quality programming, team oversight and support, fostering a safe and inclusive environment, and ensuring the wellbeing of all children in care. The position will work closely with the Senior Coordinator, who oversees the entire program, to maintain a high-quality, developmentally appropriate environment for the children in our care.

Our offer
- 2x Permanent part time appointment (20-30 hours/week).
- 1x Fixed term part time appointment (20-30 hours/week) until 30 August 2026 (maternity leave cover).

- Salary of CSE 3-4 $61,313.57 to $74,416.80 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 12% superannuation.
- 10% above award wages with WCS Enterprise Agreement.
- Broken shift allowance (where applicable).
- Paid shutdown leave on standard working days between Christmas and New Year.
- Salary packaging (up to $15,899 per year) plus meal and entertainment cards.

Key Accountabilities
- Support the Coordinator in the day-to-day operation of the OSHC service.
- Assist with program planning, delivery, and evaluation.
- Provide support and supervision to the qualified educators as required.
- Act as a responsible person as defined by ACECQA.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completed Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care OR Completed 1 year of any degree or Diploma and 1 year experience working with children over preschool age (or ACECQA approved equivalent) OR Working towards a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care / Certificate IV in Out of School Hours Care/ Education Support/ Youth Work/ Lifestyle & Leisure.
- Extensive skills, knowledge and experience in OSHC, including demonstrated use of the My Time, Our Place framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Sound knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law, Education and Care Services National Regulations.
