From iconic Gold Coast breaks to remote Tassie gems, we install and maintain over 50 streaming camera sites—adding new locations every month. The Role

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Field Technician to join our tight-knit team in Ashmore. Your mission: keep Australia’s favourite surf-checking network running smoothly.

You’ll be installing and servicing camera systems, upgrading network infrastructure, and solving on-site tech puzzles—often with a salty breeze in your hair. Regular travel up and down the east coast is part of the adventure. All expenses covered.

What You’ll Be Doing

Install, configure & commission IP-based surf cameras, network devices, and related power systems

Troubleshoot and repair faults—both remotely and on-site

Keep detailed records: photos, diagrams, install notes, and reports

Coordinate upgrades and rollout plans with the Swellnet and Fiicoms teams

Recommend smarter tools, processes, and gear to scale the network

What You’ll Bring

Must-Have:
✅ Proven experience with CCTV/IP camera systems
✅ Solid networking knowledge or a hunger to learn (PoE, LTE, Switches, routers)
✅ Sharp fault-finding skills with a “fix it once, fix it right” mindset
✅ Friendly, clear communicator
✅ Valid driver’s licence

Nice-to-Have:
QLD Security Provider/Installer Licence (or willing to get it)
Working-at-heights + EWP tickets
Open Cabling Licence
