Chemical House is a rapidly growing, mid-sized chemical manufacturer based in Molendinar on the Gold Coast. Due to a recent vacancy, we have the need for a full-time, entry-level chemist to join our Quality Team. This role is ideal for a recent tertiary graduate with a Bachelor of Science (chemistry) or chemical engineering or an experienced laboratory technician with on-the-job training.

As the Quality Controller, you will be responsible to ensure that all materials that leave our site are within their design specifications. Full training is provided on the job.

Tasks include:

• Performing Quality Control Tests on incoming and outgoing materials
• Logging and storing retained samples
• Generating, cataloging and storing batch-related paperwork
• Cleaning the laboratory
• Cleaning, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.
• Perform research on materials and reaction chemistry
• Maintain the Safety Data Sheet Register
• Write Safety Data Sheets
• Perform lab-scale formulation tests to trial alternate raw materials

There is an opportunity to expand your chemical knowledge and assist in the formulation and development of exciting new chemical products.

We are looking for a detail-orientated, self-driving, fast-learning independent person who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty and help out elsewhere in the factory when needed. Your own transport is important as there isn't a lot of public transport infrastructure nearby.

The job is for an immediate start. Relocation is not being offered for this role. Salary package will be commensurate with experience.
