About This Opportunity

Join the Information Technology Services (ITS) team at The University of Queensland as an IT Customer Support Officer, where you'll play a vital role in a major digital uplift across the University's computing environment. With Microsoft ending support for Windows 10 in October 2025, these casual roles are critical to delivering a large-scale upgrade project that includes hardware refreshes and operating system transitions to Windows 11. You'll help ensure compliance with cyber security standards and minimise disruption to IT operations. Working as part of a collaborative and high-performing team, you'll also contribute to exceptional Tier 1 and 2 support services while enabling existing staff to focus on business-as-usual priorities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing on-site and remote endpoint support to facilitate device upgrades and Windows 11 transitions
  • Supporting hardware and software deployment activities across a large and diverse client base
  • Ensuring compliance with security and configuration standards throughout upgrade processes
  • Maintaining clear communication and documentation to support smooth handover and service continuity

About You

You are a client-focused IT professional with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset. Whether supporting day-to-day operations or contributing to large-scale upgrade projects, you bring initiative, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in a dynamic environment.
