TP Human Capital is partnering with a government client in Townsville to recruit for two contract IT roles, both running until June 2026.

Role A: System Engineer
$68 per hour | 36.25 hours per week
You’ll be responsible for managing and supporting the organisation’s network infrastructure. This includes configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, VLANs, firewalls, and enterprise network protocols.
Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in the industry, including time spent in a similar system or network engineering role
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, firewalls, and performance monitoring
• Solid troubleshooting and network diagnostics experience

Role B: Technical Support Officer
$62.33 per hour | 36.25 hours per week
Focused on end-user support and IT infrastructure deployment. You'll be responsible for hardware rollouts, OS imaging using MECM, and Microsoft environment support.
Key Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in a similar IT support role
• Hands-on with MECM, Windows domains, Active Directory, Azure, and Office 365
• Familiarity with scripting, networking, and virtualisation technologies
