About the opportunity
Join SCU’s UniLife team to deliver engaging sport, recreation and wellbeing programs that inspire student connection and support. You’ll help shape a university-wide sport and recreation strategy while coordinating exciting opportunities for students, including snow trips to Japan and New Zealand.
In this role, you will:
- Lead plan and coordinate the promotion and delivery of project initiatives encompassing sports, health, wellbeing, equity, and diversity across University campuses.
- Coordinate Team SCU participation in local, regional and national university sporting events.
- Maintain records and manage logistics, budgets, risk and social media promotion.
- Coordinate the University’s Elite Athlete and Performer Program, working with athletes at international level.
- Maintain strong formal relationships and networks with UniSport members, relevant community members, campus sport providers, student sporting clubs, partners, service providers and other stakeholders
About you
You’re energetic, people-focused and thrive in a role that blends strategic thinking, planning and hands-on delivery. You’ll bring strong coordination skills, a love for sport, and a passion for building inclusive student experiences.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- A bachelor’s degree in sports management, physical education, or a related field, with demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Confidence working with diverse student cohorts.
- Experience running sporting events, teams or programs within an educational environment.
- Excellent project coordination, leadership and organisational skills.
- A current passport and driver’s licence, with flexibility to travel.
Salary and benefits

- Full-time, continuing (permanent)
- Located at either Gold Coast, QLD 4225, or Lismore, NSW 2480. Generous relocation support available.
- HEW Level 6. The base salary ranges from $92,716 - $101,691 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $ 118,979.
