Viral Vector Manufacturing Facility Pty Ltd
Posted 2 days ago
At Viral Vector Manufacturing Facility (VVMF), we’re building something special — Australia’s first commercial viral vector manufacturing facility (CDMO), right in the heart of the country’s largest health and innovation precinct in Westmead. At VVMF, for us it’s more than manufacturing viral vectors - we’re unlocking the future of medicine.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Supply Chain and Purchasing Coordinator to join our Operations team and help us deliver excellence across our Supply Chain and Procurement functions.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role reporting the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager, you’ll support day-to-day logistics, purchasing, and inventory management, while also helping to improve systems and processes. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners, ensuring materials are where they need to be, when they need to be — and that everything is tracked, ordered, and delivered with care.
Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating supply chain projects and logistics bookings.
Supporting ERP systems and 3PL operations.
Managing tactical purchasing and procurement activities.
Collaborating with vendors and internal teams to meet supply needs.
Tracking shipments and maintaining inventory accuracy.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a person who’s organised, proactive, and enjoys working across different teams.
Ideally, you’ll have:
A degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
As a guide, 2–3 years’ experience in purchasing or supply chain coordination.
Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
A collaborative mindset and attention to detail.
Experience in a cGMP or manufacturing environment is a bonus, but not essential.
Why You’ll Want This Role
You’ll work at the intersection of strategy and operations - this role gives you the chance to influence how materials move, how vendors are managed, and how systems are improved — all while supporting a facility that’s leading the way in advanced therapeutics.
You’ll enjoy variety and ownership - from ERP support and logistics coordination to tactical purchasing and procurement, your work will be diverse, meaningful, and trusted. You’ll have space to take initiative and make a real impact.
You’ll be part of a supportive, values-driven team - we’re collaborative, inclusive, and committed to helping each other and the organisation grow.
You’ll contribute to life-changing therapies and innovations.
Ready to Apply?
If this sounds like a role you’d enjoy apply now via Seek (including a copy of your resume and cover letter), and help us build something meaningful — together.
To be considered for this role applicants must have ongoing eligibility to work in Australia and be willing to undertake a National Police Check. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
