Helena Estate Medical Centre is seeking an experienced medical receptionist to join our team on a casual basis.

We are a well established privately owned general practice with 2 full time and 2 part time doctors, supported by a nurse and reception team. We also have allied health on site including a podiatrist, Physio, TMS, and Pathology.

Our reception team is looking for a team member who can maintain a busy reception desk, undertaking our administration tasks with efficiency, whilst providing an exceptional standard of care to our patients.

It is important for our team to create a welcoming and friendly environment for our patients and staff. We have a very family close nit feel to our practice. We require a proactive and flexible individual, with the ability to work both independantly and within the team. Being a small practice we need someone who is reliable and punctual.

We are looking for someone who is available between 10 - 20 hours per week.

About the role

Managing patient bookings and the appointment schedule

Responding to patient enquiries on the phone and by email

Patient invoicing & processing claims

Administrative tasks; scanning, data entry, managing correspondence

Liaising with third parties; specialist rooms, insurers, hospitals

Meticulous attention to detail

You enjoy contributing in a team but can work autonomously

Previous experience in a medical or similar setting is essential

Best Practice software experience preferred

Able to work both early starts and late finish shifts

Very Reliable and Punctual.
