Position Title: Technical Advisor - Safety & Training (Expat in Indonesia)

Location: Tembagapura, Papua, Indonesia

Roster: 6 weeks On, 3 weeks Off

Workdays per year: 208 days

Benefits: USD 1,000.00 to USD 1,100.00 per shift

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and safety-focused as Technical Advisor - Safety and Training to oversee and implement occupational health and safety practices in our underground mining operations. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5–10 years of hands-on experience in underground mining, combined with formal safety training and a deep understanding of Indonesian mining regulations.

This is expatriate position in Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish training requirements each week with the relevant supervisors and ensure that the mine manager/foreman approves training requests.

Lead and supervise daily safety activities across underground mining operations.

Conduct regular field inspections, hazard identifications, and risk assessments.

Ensure compliance with Indonesian mining safety regulations and company HSE policies.

Facilitate incident investigations and root cause analyses; prepare detailed reports and corrective action plans.

Deliver safety training sessions using adult learning principles and effective training methodologies.

Mentor and coach frontline supervisors and workers on safe work practices.

Participate in safety audits, emergency response drills, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain accurate safety records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum 5–10 years of experience in underground mining operations.

Formal certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., WHS Cert IV, MSHA, or equivalent).

Familiar with Safety management System (e.q, ISO 45001)

StroFang knowledge of Hazard identification, risk management and determined Control

Incident investigation procedures (e.q. RCAP, Taproot, Cam or equivalent)

Proven experience in training delivery and understanding of adult learning principles.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in remote locations and in challenging underground environments.

Proficiency in safety management systems and reporting tools.
