About the Role

WorkPac is seeking an experienced Senior Health and Safety Advisor to support Rio Tinto’s pioneering copper-gold project at Winu. Entering the pre-feasibility phase, this greenfield project presents a rare opportunity to influence safety systems from the ground up. Reporting to the Superintendent of Health and Safety, you’ll contribute directly to the establishment of site-wide HSE management systems, working closely with operational and contractor teams.

Key Responsibilities

Advise and support implementation of legislative health and safety requirements

Coach leaders and contractors to enhance safety performance

Embed Critical Risk Management (CRM) across site operations

Promote injury prevention and wellbeing initiatives

Deliver engaging safety training (e.g. Take 5, JHA, LiF)

Support incident governance and reporting processes

Provide guidance on incident management procedures

Skills and Experience Required

Proven experience in a site-based or project HSE role

Strong coaching, influencing and engagement capabilities

Ability to work in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment

Skilled in documentation and procedure development

Flexible, resourceful, and solutions-oriented mindset

Experience managing contractor HSE performance

Strong technical writing skills

Valid C Class Drivers Licence
