About the Role
The Nurse Workforce Unit (NWU) Administration Officer position is a member of the NWU Allocations Officer team. The NWU Admin Officer will undertake a range of clerical and administrative functions within the NWU to facilitate the efficient and effective operation of the unit and support the Nurse Workforce Unit Leadership team, consisting of the Nurse Unit Manager NWU Operations, the Associate Director of Nursing Workforce and the Director of Nursing Workforce and Acute Services.
We are looking for an administration officer for a full time role (1.0FTE), Monday - Friday.
The classification for this position will be HS2 - HS21 ($66,768 - $73,811.92 per annum)

About the Nurse Workforce Unit
The Nursing Workforce Unit provides a centralised coordinated approach to nursing staff replacement enabling the procurement of the right nurse, at the right classification to cover shift vacancies and meet nurse patient ratios whilst maintaining delivery of high standard patient care. The NWU allows for real time monitoring, analysis and strategic management of issues related to nurse staffing and most importantly provides forward planning to meet any workforce shortfalls and increased clinical acuity needs in the most appropriate and effective manner.
Your contribution and About You
- Customer service experience with a passion for customer focused, quality administrative & clerical services that are aligned to best practice in dynamic healthcare.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, utilised to liaise with hospital departments/wards and external nursing agencies regarding staff requirements and shortfalls across SVHM.
- Familiarity with on boarding processes, competency management and agency invoicing principles preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrated data entry capabilities that will enable accurate and efficient documentation to record pool, RUSON, casual bank and agency activity across SVHM.
- Proficiency in utilising Microsoft word and Microsoft excel for data entry and analysis.
