About the Role
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager, in the absence of the Nurse Unit Manager, will administer and manage the professional and operational resources of the unit. The Associate Nurse Unit Manager, under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager, will be responsible for providing mentoring and leadership to the Nursing Team. The Associate Nurse Unit Manager will support and assist the Nurse Unit Manager in achieving specific Key Performance Indicators.
* Incorporate the current national standards into delivery of care
* Actively manage portfolios as delegated by NUM
* Promote operational efficiency and flow whilst maintaining quality of practice
* Supervise and direct other staff as required in work areas
* Actively participate in quality improvement activities including assessments and audits
* Actively encourage staff to undertake annual competencies to comply with national standards
* Monitor satisfaction levels and proactively address issues
Classifications for this position will range between YW11 - YW12 ($106,834.00 - $110,432.10 per annum pro rata).

About the Sterile Processing Centre
St Vincent's Sterile Processing Centre (SPC) plays a crucial role in the daily operations of St Vincent's Hospital, providing sterilization services to our Operating Suite and Endoscopy Unit. The unit runs over a 24 hour period, 7 days per week.
